Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System
The largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere consists of offshore atolls, mangrove forests, coastal lagoons, estuaries, and hundreds of sand cays. Among other species, the reef is the home to marine turtles, manatees,and the American Marine crocodile.
